The King’s Birthday Honours mark the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK.
Gray’s Inn is delighted to note that amongst those named on 14 June 2024, two are Benchers of the Inn and two are Members of Hall:
- Master Terence Etherton who was awarded a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath (GCB) for public service in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
- Master Michael Sternberg, who was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) recognition of the work of the Sternberg Charitable Foundation also of the Faith and Belief Forum, both of which he leads in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
- Mr Anthony Arbour, a Member of Hall, who was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for community engagement in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
- Mrs Olive Essien, a Member of Hall, who was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for public service in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
- Master Baroness Kennedy of the Shaws KC, veteran human rights barrister and Labour peer, appointed to the Order of the Thistle in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
