Satvinder Juss was called to the Bar in 1989 by Gray’s Inn and was elected a Master of the Bench in 2021.
Satvinder has a broad public law and commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on covering a wide range of contractual, property and human rights related disputes He sits as a judge in the Upper Tribunal and also teaches as a Professor of Law at King’s College London.
“I started life from a Secondary Modern School (not even a comprehensive) and took subjects like Metalwork, Woodwork, and Technical Drawing – with no languages offered – and now here I am! The journey has been long, with a PhD from Cambridge University along the way, and a Professorship at Kings College London, while still practising at the Bar. I may have fallen subject to the imposter syndrome from time to time, but anyone from any background can make it at the Bar with some resilience and hard work.”
