Take your place
Becoming a barrister is more than just a career – it’s the fulfilment of a calling. Ours is a profession with the potential to be both life-changing and life-affirming, but it is important to understand and respect the challenges that will stand in your way.
If you decide to embark on this journey, then one of the first steps you will need to take will be to join an Inn of Court. There are four and each varies significantly in terms of culture, scholarships and opportunities. You can only apply to one Inn, so it’s important that you choose wisely.
Gray’s is different
For more than six hundred years, Gray’s Inn barristers have made their mark on the world, benefiting from and contributing to the unique sense of belonging and mutual support that comes with membership. Our comparatively smaller size drives a distinctive culture that provides you with a stimulating and yet nurturing environment in which to learn.
Here, you will forge the powerful personal and professional connections that will last a lifetime. You will be treated as an individual, receiving access to tailored support and training to help ensure that you rise as far, and as fast, as your own talent and determination will take you.
Choose a powerful ally
Many students who set out on the journey to the Bar do not make it. That is why it is important to choose an Inn that will stand with you, empowering you with more opportunities to hone your craft.
Gray’s champions its Members, as both mentor and protector. If you have what it takes, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
